Vegan French Bread
in a large bowl mix
one pack of dry active yeast
1tbs sugar
1/4 c. warm water
let sit for 15 minutes, just enough for the yeast to activate.
add
2 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup of water
and slowly incorporate the flour 1 cup at a time (up to four cups, i usually do 3 1/2ish)

i strongly suggest you make a pit stop at Ronald’s Donut shop. owned and operated by buddhists they have a massive selection of vegan donuts to choose from (the 2 first rows in their entirety are vegan). their bear claws taste like they’ve been deep fried in butter. that might not sound appealing but trust me, it is.

this is super delicious but somehow, no matter how little “spices” i add to it, it still attacks me. i might just scratch the chili peppers next time and just add the fresh cilantro, cause both just end up being too much. for me. but i’m also the kinda gal that thinks the Chipotle white rice has too much cilantro in it.
