GPOY - vanity edition

Here’s a fancy shot of me (all jazzed colours in ‘toshop goodness) taken in an abandoned building in Beauharnois, Qc. I love this location. We also took pictures in the “waterfall” and I was able to spend my afternoon in the dirty warm water. 

You can’t tell how poofy my shorts are. I call them hipster pantaloons. I’m sure a lot of people refer to their shorts as such. 

Also, I was not aware we had passed the “test shots” period of the “shoot” and I am, therefor, wearing my usual “unimpressed/fatalistic/bored” expression. How grave of me.

This is my right forearm. This piece is called “October in Alaska” and was done by Dave Cummings (yup, real name) at PSC-Montreal in 2003-2004. 

Also, my hair, cut last week by my (so pretty) friend Chastity. 

GPOYW - edition 2006

Sometimes a girl feels like switching up her hair colour drastically. Sometimes she wants it natural because she’s tired of putting in the effort and money. Most times a girl isn’t satisfied with her hair and wants it how it used to be or to be completely different from what she’s always had. It’s a vicious circle. But sometimes, and in my case, a girl needs to stop over processing her hurs so it can have a break from nonsense. 

I’m also a hair ‘extensionist’ so it is rare that you’ll see me with all naturally self-grown hair. (see picture above for info).

I feel, UGH, very sick… still. After more than a week. I have had to resort to allopathic medicine and that hasn’t happened in a long long while. I am tired of being stuck inside but the sun is shining today and i feel a bit positive about these antibiotics finally working!!

here’s a picture i took before attending my first Sweetheart Parade show (if you don’t know The Sweetheart Parade, you should)… i refer to it as my Tokidoki picture… It just reminds me of one of the girls used in their designs. 

I am about to venture into pre-tipping and self-micro-linking some new hair… please god send me patience.

Now THIS is some sexy modeling! 2006ish… at the montgomeryville mall sippin’ on some mocha frap! (have i raved about the fact that they custom make them now?! mocha frappuccinos have always been my downfall but since turning vegan i didn’t have the option f trying to get fat by use of iced mochas… now i do!). I wore those shoes until they had holes in them… then wore em still for a year or so… Those jeans? i kind of recall but i am unsure what i did with them. I didn’t have much money to dress myself in those days so cheap jeans and old shirts worked out fine. I believe i was still sleeping on an air mattress in an empty room at that point, which was a definite upgrade from sleeping on a friend’s futon between his front door and the refrigerator while our little japanese friend Sumie slept under the kitchen table. 

Since i didn’t have much money to spend on actual fun things to do i resolved to going to the mall and humping trash cans. Good times. 

GPYOW (taken in 2008 i’d say, maybe even 2007)

THIS is an hilarious example of what can happen when Jess (pictured on the left) experiments with photoshop. It started with her trying to make the colours of my tattoos pop out and then went onto my black hairline halo (or that’s what it seems like)… then my face. I have NO IDEA who this girl is! i know it is me, but it looks nothing like me. It’s more like alien me and i kinda like it for that reason alone. Oh and because i am pictured here with one of the most intelligent and ravishing human beings i ever met, Jess. Here’s to hoping her ‘toshop skills have gotten better!

Week later Update : I HAVE JUST REALIZED THAT I SAID JESS WAS PICTURED LEFT! i’m an idiot. So with that being said… i am either known to you as Jess, because i am the one on the left, or you figured out yourself that i am an idiot as i described what JESS did with her photoshop skills to my tattoos and whatnots. I can’t believe i hadn’t noticed this before. Slander!!
