The BEST hot chocolate eveeeeeerrrrrr
We have a coffee machine at work so sometimes I will pack myself some vegan “milks” and froth me up some hot chocolate.
This time I mixed Almond Breeze’s chocolate almond milk AND it’s newer one, coconut almond milk.
That’s what those fabulous layers are… layers of different awesomess.

Vegan Product Crush!
We all have that one (or a few) product that we have a hard time finding replacement for when switching to cruelty free and/or vegan.
Shampoos, make up and facial care items are already hard to find as it is. We’re all different and we all require, well, different things and what works for one might not work for you. I’ve changed my care regiment countless of times and just when you think you have it straight, you go vegan and you want to make the entire switch. Good for you! Sad for your face. So you go back on the hunt for the perfect product for YOU.
Deodorants have been an issue for me. I’m intolerant to so much crap and I was reacting to most solid bars that I found, from Tom’s to Kiss my face and everything in between. Something in the solid deodorants was making my pits feel like they had suffered sun damage, it was ridiculous! You could actually peel my skin off (GROSS! huh, I mean, SEXY!). So I was going back and forth trying new products while keeping my old brand in handy. Smelly wet pits is not a good look.
BUT!!
I’ve finally found the one. It’s taken a long time and a lot of bad apples but I’m finally ready to settle down. Yup, I’m taking the plunge! His name is Liquid Rock! (no he’s not an indie rapper)
When I think of roll on deo, I think of my mom’s old deo. It’s weird and wet and just plain cold when you apply it. It feels like it defies the purpose. You apply wetness and it will fight wetness? Fucked up. It feels like old lady products.
But I was desperate! And now that I am old, myself, I figured.. meh, why not try the wet roll on shit.
So I got Kiss My Face Liquid Rock in Lavender (because everyone loves lavender!). It rocks (pun intended)! I mean, it’s weird when you put it on cause it’s cold as fuck and you kind of have to rub your pits (SEXY DETAILS!)… and it makes funny noises when you do that. It’s entertaining for the immature (like me). But guess what, pit farts!? It fraking works and I smell great and I feel comfortable in my skin!! (that’s what I’d say if this was a commercial and I was wearing some sort of white sports outfit… smiling and running in Central Park!)
It’s not too expensive, around 6$. In Montreal I found it at Rachelle Bery. But Kiss My Face products are usually easy to find in stores that carry all sorts of fancy organic products (such as Coufin-Bio and my old favourite Eden on Parc ave for example).
Figured I’d share this valuable information!!
DRY PITS YALL!
Tofurkey bowl! Suck it WaWa! (tofurkey slices with brown gravy on homemade corned marshed potatoes surrounded by stuffing)
One thing I used to love, as a meat-eater, was the turkey bowls (turkey slices on mashed potatoes that eventually came to include stuffing as well) at WaWa. The only thing I had always complained about that “agencement” was that it lacked corn.
FIXED IT, VEGANIZED IT… WHAT?!?!
And that’s how that shit’s DONE!
Ps: if you don’t know what WaWa is, well you’re not from the tri-state area and you don’t know what you’re missing.
I miss you WaWa.

Last trip to Philly was an all around incredible food-time! I had rented a car and was free to roam to which ever food spot I fancied. In this case I was able to convince some friends with meeting me in Bethlehem so we could hit the amazing and incomparable Vegan Treats!
Yes, I am quite aware that many shops in Philly carry vegan treats’ cakes and whatnots BUT I wanted soft serve. Yup travelled over an hour and such for iced cream. Guess what YOUZ GUYS!? It was FUCKING WORTH IT.
I had the cake batter soft serve and well, let me tell you… it was the best damned iced cream I have ever tasted in MY LIFE. It was perfect.
As for cakes, I had the brownie teasecake, my mother had the coconut one (which is my favourite), Ang had the cherry teasecake and Syl the peanut butter bomb. Not shown here is the 3 extra cakes I took home. A keylime teasecake, a vanilla pudding cake (which has now taken the crown from the ever delicious coconut cake, sorry coconut) and some other fruity little gem I can’t recall.
The box of cakes was eaten in its near entirety later on, that day, in a giant house in West Philly with my partner in Philly vegan crime; Andy.
Lesson learned: You can never have too much cake in one day.
